Who are the yahoos giving thumbs down on answers that ARE the correct answer?? (For example in the music category, there are people who answered a question correctly but they all have thumbs down!!) Do some children need to be put back in their playpens?

Lots of problems I've noticed with Yahoo! Answers in the short time I've been using it. First of all, a lot of the questions posted here obviously are bogus, as are many of the answers people give. I've seen people selecting the most outrageous answer as " best answer" and answers that are clearly wrong or joke answers given the "thumbs up" while serious, thoughtful answers are given the "thumbs down" or ignored. I also wonder if most of the people participating in Yahoo! Answers are about 13, since spelling and grammar is atrocious and a lot of the questions are quite juvenile. Also, too many people answering with "yes," "no" or other non-helpful answers just to pad their point totals. Yahoo definitely needs to make some revisions to this feature.

I like the thumbs up/down because I cant give my 2 cents to people who have answered a question, only the person who asked for it

there is as real idea here in what you say, if you know what you know you just added injury to insult, either way you are seeing in to what will only get worse and has no way to correct it self, we are living to a time of self made steering committees @ssholes, what goes around comes around and this is only thing that can be a win for losers, must be like insiders trying to throw the game. gee what else is out there, maybe the thing could stop wanting our input and delete the possibilities of offering to get our input and just select there own best answers so this can't be like throwing an election that sucks. i can almost c them going up and down lists of answer messing things up, big time,all the time

i totally agree. i think some people just put thumbs down on all of the questions, so maybe some people chose best answers by how many thumbs ups and thumbs downs people get. it's really annoying!!

because some "real smart people" think they will get best answer if they try and tear down the credibility of others's good answers
