they were babes in the wilderness, I think about half of them starved to death the first year and they all would have starved had it not been for the Massenet Indians who brought them food and then taught them how to hunt etc, they became friends ans allies for about 40 years then the pilgrims killed most of them, I have never found out why,

A little rough although they had help from Indians. Its not like shelters were already built and food was ready for them.
