And another Q: Let's say your mintues change on the 10th of every month. YOu got the bill, you paid for it, but it's not the 10th yet- so your balence is $0. But what happens if you over-use your minutes??? Does it come out of your next month's minutes, or do they just charge you for it?

Any call from or to other Verizon customers are free. Ur bill is always for the next month. You pay a month ahead, ur first bill would've had a partial month from when u signed up and when ur billing date ends. For example : from the 20th -- to the 10th of the next month and then a full month. So if u have overage, it will go on the next bill.

Incoming calls for Verizon are technically not free unless they are coming from another Verizon phone. Because each call uses your minutes, and you pay for the minutes. But yes you could say they are somewhat free.

I assume by saying that "if your balance is $0" you use a prepaid phone?

If so, any calls that are coming into your phone that are not from Verizon are 10 cents per minute. And if you go over your minutes you are charged for each minute you go over.

If you don't use the prepaid phone, then the incoming calls are free as long as you don't go over your minutes.

Yes, the minutes still come off your phone. It's only free if another Verizon phone calls your phone.
