lets just simplyfy al of them :)
The expression is : -3m -2 + 5m -8 = 2m-10

The expression is : 4(3a - 5) + 2(-3a + 7) = 12a-20 -6a +14
=6a-6
The expression is : 2/3(1/2x + 9) + 3 = x/3 + 6 +3 = x/3 +9

The expression is : x/4 - 1/8 - x/6 + 1/6 = x/12 + 1/24

The expression is : 2ab + a - ab - 7 = ab + a -7.

so i would say,, The expression is : 2ab + a - ab - 7 is closest to being in its simplest form than the rest

None of these is in simplest form, since two have parentheses (stated as a no-no in the question). The first one has one set of integers that can be simplified and one par if the same variable that can be simplified. The last one has a pair of "ab" notations that could be simplified. THe one left with fractions could be simplified if you turned the integer fractions into decimal form and then sum them, however, without that transformation from fraction to decimal form, it would be the closest one to simplified form.

The expression x/4 - 1/8 - x/6 + 1/6 is the one

because first it has no parenthesis and second it has no like terms to combined with compared to the other choices

I'm sure with my answer!
