Is this just a figure of speech or are representitives and senators from the two major parties physically separated by an "aisle?" If they are, then where would an independent sit?

i would say it's a figure of speech. it's like when you are at a store. one aisle can have food and stuff on it and the other side can have toilet paper things on it.........
so i guess if you are talking about ploitics then it's like they talk about opposite things....
that's all i can think of............hope it helps ^_^
