I have the same problem! First of all sterling silver is not fine silver. Sterling silver is .925 rating silver. It's alloy made with copper or nickle and silver. Fine silver is .999 rating silver, aka. pure silver. It's softer than sterling, but I think they have a more natural shine than sterling silver.

Also fine silver does not cause allergic reactions. Fine silver jewelry is hard to find though. Most places carry sterling silver jewelry. I found a place to shop myself.
