As a woman the past is often not a very liberal or happy place. If I had to choose a time based on life as a woman I would choose a time and place where women were valued. For instance the Iroquois Nation in the 18th century. Or maybe the early 20th century with all the new inventions and suffrage movement that paved the way for the life we enjoy now.

Since I was doing some research on my family history today, I'd say why not go back to when your ancestors came to this country.
For example; your great-great grandparents came here on a ship, sailing into New Yorks harbor right by the Statue of Liberty. Can you imagine the excitement they'd feel? The fear? Wouldn't that be an interesting thing to withness, I think so.

Well no matter how good you think you live your life, you know you always stray & could do better. Why do we do this? Why do we really not go to church every week or take it serious? Because it all happend 2,000 years ago. So if you finally had a chance to see, what would be your choice? Think about it, this is the chance to see for yourself. What is the real deal with all this soul stuff & eternal life? To me it is a no brainer, I would go back & walk amongst Christ & see for myself firsthand. This way I would not have to listen to what people/churces now say after corrupting & twisting everything to suit their needs & pocketbooks (and make non believers out of most of us).

The 1930's or 40's. People were better mannered then, better dressed, too. People didn't go out in public looking like they had just been sleeping under somebody's porch ( the way I go in public now) On the downside, racism was open, just look at some of the cartoons and movies.

i'd go back to my teen years, the years before aids when there was "free love" and everyone was accepted for who they were within our generation. i would go back to that time only if i could do so with the experience and wisdom i have now. it would allow me to make more intelligent choices about my future and the future of my family, and just have a better life all around. times were simpler then. nature was beautiful and all living things were to be revered and appreciated for the miracle that they were. what a dream, huh?

i'd go back to the time and place of a major religious leader like Jesus, Buddha, Muhammed etc. to meet them and see what they were all about. that would be so interesting and valuable. but, i was a religion and history major so that's just my personal interest.
