I think its a really good - the theory of panspermia - where comets carry bacteria or cells across the unverse disposing of them on other planets - just like spores or pollen does on this planet. To think we might actually be from another planet! What do others think?

In Bill Brysons book 'a short history of nearly everything' the likelihood of us coming to earth as protein chains from other planets is discussed. There is a wealth of evidence to support this theory. The question that this brings up however, is who or where did the protein come from in the first place. This is discussed as well, but even having read it twice, I'm still not sure what to think.

Yeah, I did see that. But as interesting as evidence for panspermia is, what will be more interesting is watching how people try to hide that information. I can think of at least one powerful world organization that would hate for that kind of knowledge to become common, and I'm sure you can too. I've listed some sources for those who haven't heard.

I did watch that documentary, but I remember that at thee start the big argument in favour of them being alien cells, and not just a new type of earthly organism, was that they had no DNA. But at the end the big "they are aliens" guy found out they did have DNA, and suddenly that became evidence of the extraterrestrial.

Like wow! I've never felt like you know, I belonged here. Totally cool! I seem to remember a place with two suns. There were oceans full of huge sharks that could eat metal.

I'm more interested in where we are going on this planet than where we came from?
Most of the young have no interest where they came from after they leave home.
Why should they?
Well I guess that answers everything.
