I have been assigned an argumentative paper. I have to argue pro or con on a topic of my choice. This is not an actual debate but I am really having trouble choosing a topic. Can anyone give me some examples please. All examples are welcome. Thank you.

Do a Google search on gender separation in the classroom. There are recent research articles that show reasons that some people now advocate we separate boys from girls.
It is controversial, but not terribly emotional or overdone like so many topics.

Affirmative action. Its a really hot topic right now, so you can find a lot of good sources of info to support your thesis, no matter if you are pro or con. Plus, since its used in college admissions, you can also include how affirmative action affects you personally.
