It depends on how you answer the questions. When my own students ask me questions, I usually try to help them to arrive at the answer themselves.
I rarely just hand out answers. And here on YA, I mostly do what I do with lazy students... I suggest they read their textbook... or get off of YA and do a little Internet research.... or otherwise point them in a direction for them to begin digging for "the answer."

I wouldn't write someone's report for them; however, I think the students show creativity and perseverance by going to a site like this to ask for help. I wish I had a resource like this available to me when I was in school. There are always certain questions or concepts one may find difficult to understand. By asking for help, they are taking a proactive approach to their education. I would also like to note that I have seen many teachers who shouldn't be teaching and could use a little help themselves. If the student happens to be stuck with a teacher such as this, the only way to get help to prepare them for future classes is to think outside of the box and ask for outside help.

We shouldn't be answering them (I don't)...but pointing the student to where they might be able to find the answers, or give tips on how to figure the answer themselves.
Spoon feeding them helps no one, especially them...anyone here who is regurgitating answers to these kids needs to set their own ego aside (bravo you know the answer, you should!) and think about helping the kids learn how to learn...not how to get something for nothing...
...because as most of us know, the real world doesn't work that way...

No, I do all my homework, but I just ask the ones that I really don't know how to do/are confused about.
(Note: I rarely ask h.w. questions in this site)
