BBQ comes from the Taino word barbecoa. the taino people lived on islands in the caribbean. they would smoke meat over banana leaves.

crikey,the bbq was first used as outdoor cooking by an australian,and is part of our history,it is not an american idea,and we go back longer than anyone,40,000 years ,
