Wow, what a huge question! What do I 'think' about 9/11?? I think that we have allowed ourselves to forget it too soon, that's for certain. I still remember the images of that day - the people who jumped and the cameras which showed it because even the cameramen couldn't take in what they were filming quickly enough to stop filming. Those images stick with me the most - that and the reactions of the people who were standing there actually seeing in front of them what I was seeing on screen.
It affected me in more ways than I can count. I was horrified. I was scared. I lost my job within a 60 days of that due to a layoff which was a result in an industry downturn after that.
Now, I am mostly disappointed that people have already lost their resolve - they have gone on with their lives and gotten comfortable again - let their guard down if you will. They have taken steps with the recent election to weaken our military and strengthen our enemies - and the worst part is that most of them will NEVER realize that. Even if we are attacked the same way again, they will never realize the impact that their vote had.

Honestly? I had no reaction whatsoever. I wasn't surprised for some reason, and questioned that, and quickly realized the answer. No one else appeared to have a proper response. As though everybody had been sedated in one way or another without a feeling of drowsiness. It only affected me in the sense of confirmation. That the times are awash in an air of unreality, that it is fostered by a darkness in the world, that I reject anything official institutions have to say concerning the matter considering what I've been subjected to and seen from the Atlantic to the Pacific specifically over the last seventeen years.

It scared the heck out of me. My sister lost a friend, she was close to the area...ugh what a nasty memory of worrying about how she (my sis) was. You couldn't get through with your phone because all the lines were busy and we didn't get any word that she was ok until later in the afternoon.
I remember my dad called me at work to say she had called and I just broke down because I was so worried.
Personally it was horrific as we as a nation saw it live on television. Innocent people dying...for what?

I was scared that day and for a few months after that. All I can say is, "anything can happen".

It filled me with fear. I am a very gentle person and what happened was almost too much for me to bear.
