How can I be open minded towards them if they already hate me cause of my ancestry? And if they do actually accept me they only think I am a rapper, good at sports rims and shiny stuff.

"I have to wonder if you're even African American from your comments."
Yes I am black. I am very concious of others. I lived a very terrible life. It just seems like everyone seems to all ready hate you cause your black. Look at the asian indians, they are more brown than I am and they still don't want to touch my hand cause they may get them dirty. HOW MUCH RACISM CAN A HUMAN TAKE????? HOW MUCH MORE AM I GOING TO HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THIS MESS???? THAT IS WHY I SAID I WISHED I WAS WHITE SO I COULD BE LEFT ALONE! AND WHAT DO YOU HEAR ALL THE TIME? BLONDE HAIR AND BLUES EYES? I JUST WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE A HUMAN FOR ONCE! NOT A BLACK MAN BUT A MAN!

aww! omg! Please move from that area! You don't have to deal with racism! I never experienced it in my whole life! Don't wish you were white! That's drastic[no offense]!
You need professional help because changing race should not be the answer. You also should get one for the emotional distress and hardship. It's not right what you have to deal with! >(

Honey, it isn't simply within the South. It is all over. Racism will certainly not leave, however it's going to difference. Blacks are probably the most racist institution I have ever witnessed. And with states, like mine (Maryland), who're writing apologies to the black neighborhood for slavery it's going to best worsen. What approximately the entire Chineese that had been enslaved within the west? Or the truth that an Irish guy could not get a role in America till virtually the 20 th century with out being handed through for a "well German" or "well English" guy. And I do not believe I have sufficient house to get into the racism expressed by way of worry of devout expression in America's beyond and gift. Racism will certainly not be eliminated the one factor someone can do approximately it's wish that it blows up of their face. People like Don Imus are being compelled to surrender for what they are saying, even as folks like Bill Cosby are readily critisized after which not noted. Bill Cosby is a enormously knowledgeable guy, and he, along side such a lot of others, recognize that racism is blown out of share through the ones accusing others of racism. This obstacle will get me so fired up at any time when I simply desire i might slap a few feel into folks however I'm fearful of being known as a Klan Member.

You dont have Ginger hair do you and you never will, nor will your kids.
Are you short in height?
My point is most people are not happy with one thing or another, just keep that in mind when you walk the streets.
I dont like rap music. I do like Motown but Im an old clown now.
I dont want to get baldy or grey or unable to play soccer cos my knees are f'd. Thats life you are a healthy living breathing person so get on with it and forget about feeling sorry for yourself.
Im sure a lot of people black and white suffered over the years so that we could enjoy life that much that all we worried about was our appearance.

I think that you have as much of an issue with racism as those you are projecting it on.
I've met remarkable engineers of color, and there are people of color in any profession I've seen.
Believing that people will automatically look down on you, and then deciding not to try because of that is simply finding an excuse to not try in the first place. If you want to succeed, you've got to put your mis-perceptions beside you and go for what you want.
Surely you'll find bigotry, but to blame the whole world is simply a cop-out.
I'm transgendered, and I've seen lots of it. I've been beaten, denied work and have peoplel talk about me behind my back all the time. That doesn't mean at all that I won't succeed.
If you focus on failure, that's precisely what you'll get.

Don't be stupid. Not EVERYONE... ANYWHERE looks down on any one color. If that were the case, the civil rights movement would never have brought African Americans to the level of equality they have achieved, after beginning their lives in America under the worst of circumstances. I have to wonder if you're even African American from your comments. I actually think you're just being an a ss.

Sorry but I am not sure whether you are black or white here....but here goes.
I am married to a Fijian Man and I am white New Zealand (pakeha=white person in Maori) and I am of Maori descendant but am blonde and blue eyed with very fair skin.
There is nothing wrong with anyones ancestry. No one is responsible for dead people. Only the dead people were responsible for their actions.
What is wrong with being a rapper? My husband and I enjoy listening to all the beautiful music coming to our shores (and I sure love dancing in my loungeroom to it all too).
Being good at Sports. Great!!! So was I!!!!
Shiny stuff....???(Harriett looks at her big dangly jewellery and sighs) Magpies steal what is not tied down and I wear mine tied down!!!
Be you, love who you are, stop worrying about 'cultures'.....you are a spiritual human being living a human experience, enjoy whilst you are here, be the best you can be and serve humanity in the way you wish humanity to serve you.
Choose to not 'see' judgemental people anymore, choose to see 'love'. Choose to 'be love' and 'love will find you'. Love is not just about one person or experience, it is a state of being. Human beings need to experience love or we die. Death is slow without love and we attract dis-easement to our body if we have not touched upon souls self love and the connection we have to the Whole Divine Source of all that is and ever will be. Be one with self and others, learn that duality living separates and to judge cultures or people will keep us separate.
History is to be learn't from, not repeated or kept alive by where we focus our energies.
Energy grows where focus goes......'What are you focussing on right now?'
Blessings be yours in peace and light

I don't think your statement is true. I certainly don't look down on people of African decent and for you to imply my culture does i think says more about you than it does about me. I don't like to be stereotyped and i don't do it to others. Its a shame if all you are exposed to are people who feel that way. Move.... cause I'm know there are plenty of places in the world that don't feel that way at all.

Not all people are like that. I understand how it would be hard to be open minded about ignorant, racist people. Don't waste your time around someone who only stereotypes you.
