2.
Look at the sequence of numbers and think about them very carefully. Notice that 30 is a multiple of three. In fact it's 10x3. The next, 20, is not a multiple of 3, so we can ignore it for now. The next number, 27, is 3x9. Again the next is not. If we examine the whole sequence of numbers, we see that every other one, starting with 30, is a decreasing multiple of 3. That is true all the way down to 18 = 6x3.

Now, look at 20. It's a multiple of 5. 25 is also a multiple of 5. In fact, every other number after 20 is an increasing multiple of 5.

Based upon those observations, we can predict that the next two numbers in the sequence will be 40, then 15.

4.
For any n-gon, the sum of the measures of the interior angles is given by the formula (n-2)*180 degrees, where n is the number of sides the polygon contains.

To prove this to yourself, note that a square, having four sides, contains four 90 degree angles totalling 360 degrees. Applying the formula: (n-2)*180 = (4-2)*180 = 360 degrees. Observe that this is also true for a triangle: (n-2)*180 = (3-2)*180 = 180 degrees.

Recalling some special characteristics of a hexagon will also confirm this assertion. Note that at evey corner of a hexagon, two equilateral triangles meet to form each interior angle of the hexagon. Since every angle of an equilateral triangle measures 60 degrees, each interior angle of the hexagon must equal 2x60 or 120 degrees. Since there are 6 interior angles in each hexagon, the total must be 6x120 = 720 degrees. Applying the formula given above: (n-2)*180 = (6-2)*180 = 720 degrees. So, the formula also works for hexagons. In fact, an exhaustive examination of all n-gons would prove the formula holds true for any one we can dream up. For your 20-gon, the formula evaluates to (18)*180 = 3240 degrees.

For (3) im a little confused, do you just mean a dice, in which case the odds of not getting 3 is 5/6

5) 1 1/3x=1 1/3+x
4x/3=4/3+x
x=4

2: 40, 15

to seperate patterns here.
we have:
30,27,24,31,18... (-3 to each)
and
20,25,30,35,... (+5 to each)

3: hmmm, we have 6 sides altoghter, when we roll it, there will be 5 values left faceup on it ?? each side is labeld 1-6 ???

even if out highest value (6) was face down, we would be left with 1,2,3,4,5 which sum is 15.. so,, according to way you put it,, prob = 0 !!! (this is porb the wrong answer,, plz be more specific on you question)

4: 20/3*180 = 1200
