Umm...not sure if this is strange...but its kinda cool....Teddy Roosevelt was actually shot during the his campaign for the 1912 election running as a Progressive(widely known as the Bull Moose Party) He decided, against all advice, to go on with his scheduled speech which lasted about an hour and a 1/2 before he went to the hospital....
He also went hunting in Africa a lot....

President Ford is an interesting case. He was the only president not to be elected as either president or vice president. President Nixon appointed him vice president and then resigned.

there was a chain e-mail going around a while back. a whole thing about the coincidences between Lincoln and...Kennedy I believe. About how their assasinators were Booth & Ford and how Lincoln was in the Ford Theater and ran to a warehouse and Kennedy was in a warehouse and the assinator ran to a theater. VERY strange. I'm sure you could find it by searching.
