Not really enough information to give you a good answer - but there was the anti war protest at Kent State that led to the Ohio National Guard killing 4 young people who were not involved with the protest.
Also - the anti war and anti everything protest the Yippies staged at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago leading to the trial of the "Chicago 7".
There were a lot of other protests over many things - mostly the war in Viet Nam, race issues, and women's rights. Also - college students wanted a say in what they were being taught and how classes were run.

One of the biggest would have been at the 1968 presidential convention in Chicago. Lots of protesters were arrested. In the 2nd half of the '60's most college campuses held protests. Most were peaceful and most were sit-ins. A majority of them were in opposition to the Viet Nam war and the political climate of the day. You should look up the killings at Kent State to get more information. There were also marches on DC during those years and on into the early seventies.

Biggest one I remember was the Moratorium, and march on Wash DC,among others in 1968.
Kent State University,1970,National Guardsmen fired live ammunition at the protestors, killing and wounding some.
The take-over of Columbia University Administration building.
Assorted breakins at recruiting offices and draft boards, pouring blood on the records.
SDS,Weathermen,and Black Panthers.
You mayalso want to google"The Chicago Seven"accused of starting riots that disrupted the `68 DNC.
Abby Hoffman,Jerry Rubin, and Bobby Seale were some of the authors of the events and life in general during the struggle.
I hope this helps.
