single-frame political cartoon called "The medieval Catholic Church's
practice of selling indulgences was like...." Do this cartoon on a single
sheet of typing paper



but i dont know what do put to fill in the dot dot dot part.

it was like a ticket to heaven. and if you bought it, you supposedly were safe and you would go to heaven.

I'm not sure what you mean by the "dot dot dot" part, but I can give you some information about indulgences:

The basic definition of an indulgence is a remission of the temporal penalty imposed by priests on penalties for their mortal sins.

Now, all those fancy words are basically describing that, by receiving an indulgence, one would be free from the penalties that they receive from committing mortal sins. Therefore, they believed that they would not have to spend time in purgatory and will be admitted into heaven.

The whole problem was that the church was selling "letters of indulgence", which were basically just a way for the church to make a small profit.

It was Martin Luther (not Martin Luther King Jr.) who was the main protestor of this sale, which eventually lead to a whole mess of conflict, wars, and treaties.

the idea of selling indulgences is like a teenager asking to be grounded when it's rainy outside to cover the party he's going to go to next week.
