i have gone to view/tooldbars/adress bar but when its checked all i get is a little box in the corner that says adress

Underneath your toolbar with the "Search" and "Folders" button on it, there is a small seperator. Hold your mouse over it and your mouse will become one of those up/down arrows. Click on the seperator bar and drag it down. Your address bar will appear.

First goto, view -> toolbars. (make sure that lock toolbars is NOT checked.)

Second, if the view address bar is checked. (If it is, uncheck it, and then check it again, especially if you had your toolbar locked)

Third, if you still don't have an address bar, but you see "address" somewhere on the top of your browser, click it, hold the button down, and try dragging it around, this should work, hope I helped!

top page below blue line inch down right click box will open see address bar left check on it may help

your address bar is there, but its too small or too cramped up to see. Click and Drag the word Address, its probably sandwitched between other toolbars...

in view > toolbars click on unlock toolbars

then drag the toolbars down with your mouse until you see it. the relock then toolbars.
