When are you active, you are on your feet and applying pressure to your legs. Less sleep equals more time on your legs.Sleeping on a flat surface takes away the pressure. Sleep is not just for the brain, it also revitalizes the body as well. But it shouldn't cause "intense" pain when you have little sleep as you describe it. Check with a doctor or just get enough sleep and let your body heal.

TRY FINDING A PILLOW THAT IS A LONG AS THE IN SIDE OF YOUR LEGS 36"AND LEAVE IT BETWEEN YOU LEGS THROUGH OUT THE NIGHT AND TRY TO SLEEP ON YOUR SIDE SO IT IS "BETWEEN YOUR LEGS" THIS WILL OFF SET THE RESTLESS LEG THING AT NIGHT WHEN YOU SLEEP,FLIP OVER OCCASIONALLY TO OFF SE4 DISCOMFORTS AT FIRST TILL YOU GET WHERE YOU CAN WAIT FOR REACTIONS AND WILL LET YOU KNOW IF IT IS HAPPENING TO U AS IT CAN HAVE ONE LEG FIGHTING THE OTHER ALL NIGHT AND UNLESS YOU SEPARATE THEM AND YOU;LL BE WOKEN UP WHEN YOU PERCEIVE THIS INTERACTION AND YOU'LL BE ADJUSTING THE PILLOW TO OFF SET THEIR ACTIVITY THROUGH OUT THE NIGHT . IF YOU DO THIS IT WILL PROBABLY SHOW YOU HOW YOU ARE STRUGGLING ONE LEG AGAINST THE OTHER DURING PERIODS OF SLEEP CAUSING THIS FATIGUE,
