When you're playing around in yahoo answers, have you ever wondered why all these fundamental Christians feel the need to come into our little area here and start blabbering? I mean...when you sign into yahoo answers, you really have to search for the gay section. What could possibly be going through their minds.

"Hmm, (fundamentalist Christian talking) I think I'll sign on to yahoo answers and see what's going on in the gay section."

They seem to be awfully curious about us gay folks and how we think. I wonder if they go onto gay porno sights......you know......just to see how we do it. I wonder if most of them are struggling with some kind of gay tendency and just don't have any way to release it?

Thoughts?

WOW!! I must have really struck a nerve with this question. Nice to see so many people out there interested in what goes on in the gay world. Even all of you that think I'm going straight to hell...at least you took the time to let me know...I'm sure God would appreciate that. What a range of answers...or "thoughts" in this situation. Thanks!!

I noticed your question under the general heading. But yeah there are a lot of them that are just fundamentally airheads.
Like old pops there who does not even realize what the heading he is posting under says before he posts a wrong answer. It is amazing.
There is another one from a "Canadian lady" telling you that you should be in the "Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendered" section.
Once again, hilarious.
You should see them discussing the bible.
Oh well, nice visiting but I have some fundies to bash over in the Totally Screwed up on God section, catch ya later.

Good question lattle4,

I often ask myself the same question.
I think that a lot of them are thinking how they can attack gays or they're thinking about how they can hide their true sexual orientation.
Jesus spent a good deal of his time with the outcasts of society ministering to them, healing them and showing them true love. It is too bad that we, who call ourselves Christian, can't display that same love. Despise the sin, but love the sinner. Such intolerance only pushes people farther away from the Christian message of love.
And too Pops ... For 1, It's not a lifestyle and 2. It's not just one person making gays feel guilty. It's a whole group that call their selves "Christians" and unfortunately some of them do meth and hire prostitutes.

I think the reason so many of them(but not all) come in here to the gay section is because, for them, it's a chance to preach, be bigoted, and or mouth off in general(via keyboard, if that makes any sense). Either that or maybe they could be closeted and consider themselves Christian so they won't "turn gay". Yahoo Q+A provides an anonymous way to explore who they are or might be, with little or no repercussion from the outside "real" world.

I have been married to a great girl for 40 years and I agree with everything that you said.

I drop in here occasionally because someone I love very dearly is gay. I like to point out to the fundies that they look more like bigots than Christians to me.

Be what you are and be proud of your self.

There are a lot of straight people who aren't bigots. I would rather live next door to a gay couple than a bunch of judgmental jack a--es.

Love and blessings Don

Repent capacity to "turn from" this means we would desire to coach from our sin and stay for the Lord! persist with Him! no longer basically confess it till now Him, yet do away with it. And basically the Lord can do this, basically He can turn us around. compliment be to Him! Ezekiel 18:21 "yet while a depraved man or woman turns faraway from all his sins that he has committed and retains all my statutes and does what's only and precise, he shall incredibly stay; he shall no longer die. Salvation is NOW, via Jesus Christ who forgives all our iniquities and provides us sparkling, washed, justified by His blood and sanctified in His Holy Spirit. He says: John 5:24 extremely, extremely, I say to you, whoever hears my be conscious and believes him who despatched me has eternal existence. He does not come into judgment, yet has surpassed from death to existence.

In their confused heads they're actually concerned about your soul.

They don't want you to go to hell. (Most of them anyway) Some of them also want to exercise their right to be correct.

Realistically, if they read their Bible, they would have found out that there is no hell.

And gay people are sinners like everyone else is a sinner. So, if you were gay and repentent of your sins, like all Christians should be, then you aren't doomed because your gay.

Once again, though, theres no hell so there should be no dooming.

I'm a pretty Christian guy, but I feel that religion and politics (gay marriage and rights) should be two different matters. I have a gay brother who I wouldn't have any other way, so I know how most of ya'll feel. It's America, right? Go ahead and be happy.

You may have something there, Lattle.

Perhaps because I travel around & sometimes even go to places on YA I know nothing about just to see what there is, it did not occur to me that some people just go to one or two areas.

As far as the christians, well, they have their own crosses to carry.
And I don't doubt that some of them are rainbow-colored. But they need a little extra courage to turn around & give a good look - easier just to keep facing forward, staying focussed on what others are doing...

;-)

Oh I sincerely believe that the majority of gay-bashers are closet homos. I think most of the "so-called Christians" (and I call them that, cause they do not act like Christ at all) are self righteous morons who feel the need to think they can save everyone.

Often those "Questions" just appear under "Cultures & Groups" when Yahoo!Answers provides samles of the various sub-categories of C&G.

Actually, many of us probably would prefer that we never see them in the Cultures & Groups.
