One of my favorite stories, told to me many years ago by an old pastor was this.

In a small town their lived a very wealthy and respected judge. Unfortunately, his son was a rather reckless youth and was often in trouble with the local police for speeding. On one particular day, the son decided that he would go speeding through town doing well over the legal limit. As he did, a police officer clocked him and quickly pulled the young man over. There were too many prior violations for the police officer to ignore, and so the young man was arrested and taken to jail.

The next day he was brought in before the judge, his father. His father listened to the case, the charges brought against his son. He convened to his chambers after everything was said, and thought about things for a very long time. Finally, when he resumed court, he proceeded to make his ruling. This young man had violated the law, time and time again. Even after the police department had been more than generous with the warnings, he had continued to willfuly disobey them. The judge had no other choice than to find his son guilty and set upon him the maximum punishment that the law called for.

The gavel rapped on the bench, condemning the son to months in jail and heafty fines. As the people in the court room began to file out, the judge stood up and cast off his robe. He walked with the police officers and his son to the clerk and pulled out his wallet.

The son asked him what he was doing, and his father replied, that he was doing what any father would do, he was paying for his son's transgressions.

Why should you believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sins? From your question, I would say that you have gotten that far in your belief, that Jesus walked earth, that he was put on that cross. Why should you believe that he died for you, because that's what he said he did. That's what love is about, sacrifice.

Your wondered because your idea is worded incorrectly. Jesus did not die out of your sins 2000 years formerly you've been born, yet he died for your sins. each and every thing in recent times is a sin, it replaced into the purely way for us to flow to heaven.

Yeah man, isn't it cool that we live in the time period that is close to His return...He died on the cross but He rose up three days later, and the same power that raised Him up is going to raise us up. Look up the website for Third Day and Disciple (they are Christian Believing Rock bands..you might learn more from their message in a way that you can relate....

I even know you could be asking in fun or jest!
But Honest to God, Chris
I BELIEVE..........
that if YOU (or I) were the only person alive,
that Jesus would have given his life
as a ransom for yours! (or mine)
He is OUR Brother Man, and he Loves us that much!
You should .IMHO

He died for everyone, even us, in His future, and also everyone in our future. You don't have to believe it, He just did.
