Ready?.......

Non-smokers die every day..

I'd say stealing jokes from a dead guy is pretty low.

shame on you for not crediting the 'dead at 35 from cancer' Bill Hicks-who incidentally all spoke in favour of paedophillia-maybe we should all be allowed to do that too?

Ahem...

The Constitution allows a citizen to have free will over their lives, whether in pursuit of happiness, or destruction as long as it does not go against either if these two clauses:
A: You can not Constitutionally harm another person
B: Suicide
If either is violated, the authority have the right, and the obligation to intervene.
now lets apply this to cigarettes shall we:
Instead of trying to show you that clause "B" is being violated, as many do in the argument against cigarettes by proclaiming the well known harmful and deadly consequences; I say: a citizen of the US has the right to harm himself by smoking. However, this is key: it is against clause "A" for a company to sell a product that harms another person.
The thought that immediately comes to mind is ;"Cars, cars kill people, why don't we ban them?" Okay, lets talk about cars then: When Firestone manufactured tires that caused an unusual amount of deaths due to the design of the product; it was immediately recalled. A product that causes an unusual amount of deaths is clearly unethical and causes outrage. Look at any toy that even provides an opportunity for death or injury, it is immediately recalled. Even a knife when used correctly posses little danger. But cigarettes is a product that used correctly will cause an unusually large chance of death and injury.
If a person places a gun in an others hand and says "shoot me" that does not affect the fact that it is unconstitutional for that person to pull the trigger, violating clause "A": hurting another human being.
you, my dear little smoker; are the man begging to be killed. if everyone who asked to be killed pardoned the murders sentence automatically: murders could just lie that they had been asked to kill the victim and walked free due to lack of witness.

Shouldn't that be "Your going to die too" because as far as I know unless no one has told me I'm very much alive and could have another 30 - 50 odd years still to live. I gave up smoking only after have a near fatal asthma attack during which as I live 5 minutes from a Hospital decide to walk out of fear and even tried to smoke a cigarette on the way to Hospital but could not inhale when I got there I was rushed straight into ER and was terrified by questions like "Have you ever had a Heart attack/Stroke etc?" but after having my attack controlled and was put on a observation ward where people were dying relatives were crying, screaming and believe me it was hell but as soon as I was put on a proper ward and my fear lessened the cravings came back and I tried everything to get outside for a smoke but luckily for me(as I now believe) was thwarted at every attempt by the nurses and probably saved my life.

I understand how you feel, i gave up 4 years ago after 30 years of smoking. Its true my colds and hangovers are 10 times better but I still miss it.

I also worry about not smoking giving me an extra 10 years of senility instead of going out with a simple heart attack or a 3 month lung cancer.

Its difficult, but i tell you what, I hear there are far worse smoking related things to die of than the big C or heart attack, apparently enfacema (sorry for spelling) is a long drawn out bastard way to go.

Listen, you couldn't have found someone more anti non smoking than me!!!!!!!!! I ABSOLUTELY despite those pompous, self righteous SOBS that are always complaining about secondhand smoke... worse than that... I live In Philadelphia and about a month ago THEY COMPLETELY BANNED SMOKING EVERYWHERE INDOORS.. E-V-E-R-Y-W-H-E-R-E! It's unconstitutional I tell you!
Who the hell is the government to tell me if I can smoke or I cannot.. don't quit.. that's the anti smoking fanatics and the government officials TELLING YOU WHAT TO DO. I will grant you that smoking is hazardous to your health. These damn people don't know what it is like to BE A SMOKER! First thing you have to do is let your legislators know by telling them "I SMOKE AND I VOTE" Join Smokers Rights online! I don't care if non smokers want to be away from my smoke... stay away from me then instead of whining your butts off all the damn time!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, nazi is a nice name for the chronic complaining anti smokers.. there aren't more important things to criticize in this world?????????? I think there are 100s of other things more important.. the war, poverty, social injustice just to name a few.

Get me a soapbox will ya!

If you belong to myspace, please join Philadelphia Smokers Unit.. I just formed this group last week and it isn't just for Philadelphians.. but for all those WHO ARE SICK AND TIRED OF HEARING THEY CAN'T SMOKE AND AREN'T GONNA TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Personally I believe that the non smoking laws have gotten a little out of hand. I mean it went from a separate area for smokers to no smoking at all. Now I can tell you that contrary to popular belief it DOES effect businesses such as restraunts, when our state put a no smoking law into effect the business dropped.

Smoking Kills - Says it right there on the packet in Bold Capital Letters.

It Kills You, It Kills non smokers like ME, It Kills Kids.

Every time i drive past my local school and see kids of 12 and 13 puffing away on their fags it makes me sick. If the parents didn't smoke, they would be able to smell the smoke on their kids and they wouldn't get hooked so early in life.

If you smoke then your close and hair stinks to us non smokers, I suppose you'll think I'm being abusive but all i am doing is telling you the truth.

While I'm having a go, my pet hate is smoking while driving!!

You can get a fine for eating a kit kat while driving, 3 points for using a mobile. Yet you are allowed to light up and smoke while driving with impunity. Whats more likely to cause a crash, a bit of kitkat on your lap or hot sig ash???

Outside in the rain with you, you social leper.

Apparently smokers have no rights and shouldn't be treated as human beings. Oh, yes and are weak-minded as well. Even though some of our greatest leaders have been confirmed smokers.

Don't worry about obesity. Don't worry about alcoholism. Let's blame everything on the smoker. That's right.

Excuse me. My rant has left me dying for a Silk Cut. Must dash.

I don't smoke never have but could care less if other people do. Its nothing to do with an eternal life fantasy, we all die smokers or not. But while alive i don't want to waste my hard earned money to see it go up in smoke, i don't want to stink like a trash can, i don't want to be an addict in life to anything, i don't want my kids to be passive smokers, i don't want to be reliant on making fat cats richer, and i don't want my body inside to be putrefied by tar. Puff away your welcome to it.
what do i think?
i think my life may not be longer than yours but ill sure be richer, healthier, more fragrant and not responsible for spreading my second hand smoke to others.
Enjoy your evening....
