In an imperative statement (in other words, when you give a command), the subject is "you". Example: "Get the telephone!" We don't say "you", but it is the subject.

A couple of reasons. First, the best defense when you are backed into a corner is to launch an strong offense. That way, while the other side is busy defending itself, it might forget what it was fighting for in the first place. Second, there is a phrase in psychology called "cognitive dissonance" and its premise is this: the human mind, when confronted with two conflicting ideas, experiences dissonance. In order to resolve this condition, one of two things must take place. Either, the human mind outrightly rejects the idea that conflicts with the one it has held for the longer period of time. Or, if the person tends to be open minded, he/she may try to reconcile the two ideas. Eventually, as they see the validity of the opposing viewpoint, and if they come to realize that it makes more sense than their previous perception, they may even reject the old stance in favor of the new. This is what "apostates" have done. This is why the WT sternly warns its adherents to stay away from "apostates", from Bible reading alone, from "Christendom", etc. The WT understands that adherents will see it for the lies it promotes if they are able to see things from another perspective and to find out that the WT has been lying to them, not only about itself, but about the nature of God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, "Christendom", "apostates", the Bible, and the Gospel message.

Since they see themselves as the ONLY representatives of God here on earth, anyone who disagrees with their "organization" is automatically classified as apostate. They see whatever the men that head this organization say as the final word on everything and there is no possible way these men could have misinterpreted anything.(Despite the many, many times they have been wrong on the time the Lord will come back and other issues like replacement theology.) Therefore, they think that anyone who thinks contrary to what they think is an apostate. They ignore the fact that the way to judge a prophet is by whether what the prophet says comes true. By this standard, they would have to admit the "organization" is a false prophet. These people are in darkness. They are spiritually blinded. Just pray for them. It is about all you can do for them. It is a shame because there are many sincere and sweet people in this "organization" that do want a pure form of worship. They are just looking in the wrong place! They have lost the ability to think for themselves and weigh the evidence or look at both sides of an issue without the "organization" telling them what to think. I guess that is what happens when you give up your God given right to think for yourself. I never could understand them. Maybe I am wrong about this, but I do not think so. This is what I have gathered in talking to them. Christians! Please continue your prayers for enlightenment for those caught up in this "organization's" web of deception.

Yes "You Understood" is used whenever you want to give a command to someone. For example, when you wake up in the morning your mom will say "Make your bed!" It is understood that she is telling you to make your bed.
