Back in school, do you remember when you did the project was puttin sugar and water in a mason jar with a screw and a string and it was held up with a pencil? I was wondering how you make that? I want to make it with my kids and watch them watch it grow. Can someone tell me how you do it please?

Okay if you want to watch it you will need the following materials:
Clear Plastic Cup
Sugar
Water
String and Pencil

Directions:
Ok, tie the string to the middle of the pencil,BUT FIRST put the pencil laying on top of the cup with the string inside the cup.then in a separate cup add water UNTIL it reaches half of the cup then put sugar (like the double amount of the water you put) then pour it in the cup were the pencil is laying at.It will form this pretty crystal takes about two days to dry up.the pencil will help you pull the crystal up when is dry.
