Are you talking about main events in Earth Sciences and Geology?
Well, Australia is in the middle of a tectonic plate, so it doesn't have much tectonic activity going on (like mountain building, big earthquakes, volcanoes). So, the events are more subtle, I suppose:
Earth surface processes: erosion, dryland salinity, floods
Climate change: http://www.bom.gov.au/climate/change/
Degradation of Great Barrier reef: http://www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/science/jan-june05/coral_2-01.htmlaffecting rain
Atmospheric processes: Ozone hole fluctuations--http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,20617284-2,00.html
