Hi,
Here's the full text of my situation as I could not fit it all here and sorry in advance for the length (I posted something similar earlier, but I have since added to it): http://www.braintumorfoundation.org/forumdetails.asp?ThreadID=TGB698634989
I am concerned about several of the symptoms, especially slight blurriness in the left eye and head pressure. I talk about all of this in the link above.
Any thoughts would be appreciated!
Thanks!

I am seeing my general physician on Tuesday so I will ask him about this as well. I would like to ask him to refer me to a neurologist just to be safe. Any ideas on how to gently persuade to give me the referral?
Thanks

My migraines usually have a dull sensation early on, and then it gets very sharp (but not always throbbing.) I usually have an aura: bright wiggly lines, scintillating scotoma (a pulsating, moving blind spot), flashes, blurred vision. Sometimes, the vision in my right eye goes completely out. It's a big gray blur. I also have smell auras sometimes--it smells like freesia, sometimes a little like jasmine.
I have nausea, sensitivity to light, pain in my solar plexus, sometimes a sore throat, and sensitivity to smells. My eyes swell and sometimes water (though the pain is in my face, not in my sinuses like if I had allergies or a cold.) My eyes and forehead are sore to the touch sometimes.
Just because you don't have a "classic" migraine, you might still have them. Make sure you don't need vision correction--when my eyes get worse (I'm currently at about 20/400 in both eyes, with astigmatism, but I think my prescription will be stronger next time), I get LOTS of migraines.
I don't drink or smoke (can't stand the smell of smoke when I have a migraine, and I really dislike it the rest of the time), I don't eat much chocolate, and I avoid anything that smells like my aura. Also, avoid going to movies if you think you're getting a migraine--the flickery movie light makes me feel sick. Also, avoid fluorescent lights--the flashing makes me feel sick, too.
I like those gel forehead things--Be Koool. Those rock. Also, try some caffeine when you have a migraine--it helps constrict the blood vessels that are going all crazy.
Try to figure out your triggers and what makes your migraines worse. I'd say you do have them. I mean, if they ruled out pretty much everything else with the same symptoms, migraines are a good bet. But make sure any migraine treatment meshes well with your other meds.
Good luck. Migraines SUCK--I've been getting them almost every day for a week or so. Grrrrr! You can't always avoid them, but you can probably do some things to lessen the impact. And always be sure to stay well-hydrated--headaches always go better with plenty of fluids in ya. Hope you get some relief!

Your symptoms sound like a "panic reaction". A few years ago this was called "hyperventilation syndrome" and it was treated by rebreathing from a paper bag. This was to raise the CO2 levels back to normal and put the blood chemistry back into balance.
Some people precipitate these episodes with caffeine. (coffee, tea, cola, even Mountain Dew)
The negative CT scan is against brain tumor but not 100 %. An MRI might be useful if this continues.

I also suffer from frequent migraines and one solution I have found that works is the use of water. Get in the bathtub and let the water from the faucet hit down on the top of your feet. Use water as hot as you can stand. This will open the capilaries in your lower extremities and relieve the pressure in your head. Also try to keep your feet warm after you do the water. If you are ready for bed, put on a warm pair of socks and sleep with them on. I hope this helps, it works for me. Also the blurriness in your eyes is from the pressure on the blood vessels behind your eyes. The water on your feet should help this symptom also.

I would seek out a Kinesiologist immediately. Pretty much one session fixes everything it is incredibly eye opening, not expensive and it will gob smack you.
In the meantime I am a Reiki Channel and a friend of mine who is a Nurse suffered her migrane for over 10 days. She as a Nurse tried everything. She phoned me after consuming 20 mersyndol in 3 days saying she was going to put herself in hospital as she cant stop vomiting from it all. She has a disable son to take care of so I offered to come and she said if it wasnt gone that night she will see me in the morning. I said 'See you in the Morning' and she turned up after school drop off. I applied Reiki to her Crown over eyes and ears. She rang me back later to tell me her migrane had completely disappeared. This is my first migrane case I have applied Reiki to. It worked. Just thought I would share this with you. Some people think energy healing is b/s.......I know it works I suffer from chronic rhumatoid arthritis and Reiki does what anti inflammatorys dont do. And theres no tummy upsets from the medicals.
Blessings be yours in light and peace

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information
