Improper? No. Impersonal? Yes. The gift card to a store you know they'll go to for post-baby needs is a better choice (most popular would be Target or Babies-R-Us).

Also, to make it more personal, try to include some token gift, like a personalized "gift certificate" for babysitting or post-baby meal prep. Or, you could attach it to a small cuddly (baby-safe) stuffed animal, or some other small gift. Picture frames are always useful once you've had a baby and start taking a MILLION pictures a day! :)

I would prefer giving gift cards instead of cash also, try getting it at a place that has cute baby items, and everything she needs there so she can pick things that she didnt get at her shower, so they are always helpful for the mother to be.

I don't think it is. This way the expectant parents can purchase whatever it is that they need but didn't receive. Because it eliminates the chance of you duplicating someone else's gift. If you don't want it to appear that you didn't have time to stop for a gift, buy a gift card from Toys R Us or a children's store in your area.

At one month she could be protecting her mouth close. Too many first-time pregnancies bring about miscarriage, and for older first-time mothers the percentages on that occurring are even bigger. In her project she should not be telling everybody until she's a minimum of previous the 1st trimester. even with the indisputable fact that, it particularly is needless to say too overdue to be demanding approximately that. Secondly, on account that whilst does somebody throw a sprint one bathe for themself? She's ordering invites and installation the bathe plans? it particularly is something that her acquaintances/kinfolk could do for her in the event that they like to furnish her a shower in any respect. She looks like the suited snob and if I have been you i would not be getting in touch in helping with the bathe or everybody will think of which you agree together with her suggestions-set. inquiring for "money" by way of fact the popular present is plenty previous cheesy - that's an entire embarrassment. I doubt if there is something you are able to say to her which will replace her suggestions. She's needless to say been stated this form - it particularly is form of overdue to tutor the boat around now.

No, it is fine, but I agree, a gift card is always nice. As for the cash I got for my baby shower, I put it in my son's bank account as we had everything we needed for him already.

try a gift certificate to a baby store or even walmart...so parents can pick out what they need. but money is never a bad thing...they can start a baby savings account if they want.
