My bank is Chase. My stepmom has access to my online banking; it is part of her account. If I deposit a check into the account, using online banking can she see who wrote the check? I was just wondering how it would show up. Thank you

I forgot to mention that it is a work check, it is addressed from a treasury department and University.

It depends. Some banks, instead of sending back your checks with every statement, send only copies of the checks, and this may include all checks deposited to the account. If you go online and look at the statement, you can click on any line item on the statement and it will bring up an image of that item, front and back. If Chase does that then yes, by going into the online statement and clicking on any item she will be able to see an image of that item.

If the deposit item in question is a check drawn on a local bank, you may be able to go to that bank and cash it, then take the cash and make a cash deposit into your joint checking account. This way all your mom can see is a cash deposit. if you don't even want her to see the cash, and need to pay some bills, take the cash and go to the post office and buy money orders for the amounts of the bills you need to pay, and send the money orders as payments. This way, your mom will not see any deposit at all, or at most a very much reduced one.

I used to do all this to keep it looking like I had no income and no deposits to my checking account. Once I went to the post office and bought a total of $5,000 in a whole bunch of money orders, and only $300 or so actually made it as cash into my checking account. For all intents and purposes if you looked at my checking account it looked like I was dead broke and in abject poverty.

Yes she could with some banks.

I don't know about Chase Banking myself, but I do know that my bank is a major bank like Chase and when I write a check I can see a copy of that check. When a check is electronically deposited in my account then I can see the name on the check right from the line item ledger screen. When I personally deposit a check though the information on the check writer does NOT come up in the ledger, instead I only get a number assigned by the bank that I deposited the check in.

Many sexually orientated businesses purposely use a third party or a vague name for their banking name so that writing a check to them won't be a problem. As far as depositing the check though most banks try and make it clear who the deposit was from.

If you cash the check at your bank then the check will not show up in your account, but sometimes you will need the money in the account to back up the check in case if it is a bad check. If you cash a check at a bank upon which the check was drawn then their will be no trace of it in your account and the bank is required by law to honor their own checks even if you do not have a bank account with them.

alongside with the excuses already pronounced by way of others, on line banking is seen a "sticky product" for the economic organization. If the customer starts off utilising on line banking to directly pay expenditures the possibilities are that the customer won't close their debts and circulate with a competitor because of the fact that's going to become too lots of a hassle to alter banks. incredibly in the event that they have direct deposits besides.

Yes, she will be able to click on the check that was deposited and see the image on the front and back.

it would likely just show a deposit, you should have the check made to you, cash it, then deposit it if you don't want it seen.
