They are saying this site is boaring. How can that be?

Probably because so many people come to this site and instead of contributing anything answer with sayings such as "Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve", answer with things such as "Repent now before you burn in hell", answer with carefully selected Bible quotes, and answer with childish name calling. If those people would choose to be civil and actually answer a question, it would not be a problem. Since they, however, choose to answer questions purely out of hatred of gay people, I would think that some gay people have had enough of it and choose to respond in kind.

I had not noticed this happening, you may be right. I visit a variety of areas withing YA and stop by both LGBT and Religion as well as several others. It does not seem that one of these in particular can be boring; there may be more activity one day or another, or the questions may seem more topical to us, but what is boring to one can captivate another.

It's funny that you mention Religion, because the 3 YA areas that I have noticed a high incidence of extremist views, polarized, opinionated thinking and personal attacks/self-righteous comdemnations are LGBT, Religion & Politics. You just don't find that sort of hot-bloodedness in the Mathematics area, where I also visit, for instance. Much more on topic, an absence of ad hominem attacks. Downright refreshing. Who says Mathematics can't be fun?

I've never visited the religion section myself, but I would guess it might be because an awful lot of people with strong religious views come here to make their points, and maybe some people like to return the favour.
