Pro/Cons of the Apple Macbook...?

The main cons for a PC user to switch to a Macbook Pro would be cost and adjusting to a completely different operating system. Windows-based PC's function different than Mac computers, in their overall navigation of the operating system. So the fact that you learned on a PC will make the Mac a little frustrating when you first start using it, but the interface is pretty intuitive and will eventually make sense. Other than that, the Macbook Pro ends up costing about 50% more than a PC laptop with the same specifications. So you are paying much more for a Mac.

I'm another Mac addict, so I'm definitely biased towards the Macintosh. I own an older 1 GHz Titanium Power Book, but I love what Apple has done with the MacBooks and MacBook Pros. They look great and are twice as fast as mine. I love the built-in iSight camera too.

What's not to like about Mac OS X? It runs great. No viruses, mallware, or spyware. There have been some proof of concept viruses developed by anti-virus companies, but there have been none released to the general public in the past six years of Mac OS X. Don't let the Windows bigots tell you that there's no viruses because there's not that many Macs out there. That's totally bogus logic. Have you heard how many viruses are already out for Vista? Incredible!

Ok, I own and use a MAC IBOOK G4. Have had it for a year now.

Pros- More stable operating system than windows
Never freezes
No errors or shut downs
Faster stronger Apple processor than Intel
A higher quality product than windows based computers
Laptop battery lasts a true 4 hours

Cons- Not as user freindly to learn on.
Not as much 3rd party software and games available

My conclusion. I will never own or use a windows based computer ever again. I do all my work, %100 on my MAC. I went to school in 1985 and earned a degree in computers in1987. Since then out of all the computers I have used, in my opinion the MAC is the superior computer.
