The news piece makes it sound like she is disgustingly overweight as they keep mentioning she is in a size 12 fat suit. According to NBC (http://www.nbc10.com/newslinks/8605455/detail.html). The average size of women in America is a size 14, now I'm not saying this is a good thing, but I just think ET is perpetuating the insecurities of all women by making a point of making this "size 12" into such a hideous experience.

Yeah. Plus it's just so annoying listening to her whine about how difficult it was being ignored in the store because she was overweight, and how even though it was temporary it really took a toll on her emotions. Oh boo hoo hoo. Go home and take your fat suit off so you can be worshipped again.

Ridiculous.(no longer you, the persons you're speaking approximately) I choose i became a length 12. rather, i think length sixteen is the commencing up of plus length, or it was. Now it variety of feels that double digit length = plus length. Professor C, the size 12 variety in the photograph is 5' 11". If her BMI is nineteen, which ability she is 136 lbs.(stable gravy, that's in effortless terms a pair of pounds over what my weight became while i became in shape, and that i'm 5' 2"). outfits sizes for females human beings are not desperate by utilising their weight yet by utilising their bust, waist, and hip measurements. confident, the bust, waist, hip measurements to be a length 12 on a girl this is short would desire to placed her in the obese selection, yet those comparable measurements on a girl this is 9 inches taller placed her in the conventional weight selection. Proportionately, i'd say that a 5' 11" length 12 lady is comparable to a 5' 2" length 6 to eight lady. I only now study the 1st article, and in that article it states that the size 12 variety weighs 11 stone, this is approximately 154 lbs, that places her BMI at 21.5, which remains in the conventional selection. Her legs are actually not fat, they're only larger then what you're used to seeing on fashions. no longer all human beings is made to have legs with gaps between the thighs, and there is no longer something incorrect with that look.

I know what you mean...it's like that gal for some diet food commercial whom boasts of going from a size 4 down to a size 2! Give me a break! I don't think I ever was a size 2...or 4....maybe a size 8 when I was in my twenty's.....and that's because I think the sizes were larger back then...an 8 then is equivalent to a 10 now. I don't recommend being over weight, but whatever a person is comfortable at is probably normal for them. ;)

It really depends on the height and frame of a woman. I'm a size 2-4 but then again I'm only 5'4" so a size 12 would make me pretty obese. But for someone who is closer to 6' then no, a 12 wouldn't be grossly huge.

I think we women can be too caught up in sizes. Did she look obese? That's the point, not what size she was.

I am so sick of seeing that crap. We do not need a skinny girl to dress up as an "overweight" woman, when there are millons of women who already are and we could ask them how people treat them.... I saw on one commercial for it that she cries because it is so emotional. GIVE ME A BREAK... lets think about the women who are in that position everyday of their lives!

Oh, but they MUST keep saying it.

How else can regular women continue to feel insecure and inadequate?
