Would you love your child if they murdered one of your other children?

Here's a toughy - somebody you love, kills somebody else you love.

Would they be dead to you too, or would you still love them?

That is a tough one.
You can love someone even without liking them or their actions very much. I know from some experience (and nothing as heinous as that) that people can do things that cut you to the core but you still can love them.

This happened in my hometown several years ago. One teenage boy shot his brother. My sister told me recently that he is such a pitiful person, and there was nothing that anyone can say or do to him that he would care. He's still your child and maybe together ya'll can find a comfort zone. I'd say a good place to start is on your knees looking upward to the man who made hearts and can heal the broken hearted. Oh my goodness! I am sitting here trying to imagine a scenario. Its making me sick to my stomach to have to even think about it! I honestly don't think that I could love someone who had enough evil in them to kill someone else who loved them, or who were a part of them. If it was an accident, then of course I could forgive, but if it was just cold blooded killings, then no.

This question reminds me of that movie "The Good Son" with Macauley Culkin and Elijah Wood. He kills his baby brother and when the mother finds out, she lets him die in favor of saving his good cousin. I guess it would depend on why one person I loved killed the other. If it was just malicious and for no good reason, I don't think I would love them anymore.
