I may be easier to use the quadratic formula but the original equation is 4x^2(4x squared) -44x + 63

You have a system of equations as follows:

x + y = -44
xy = 252

y = -(44 + x)

-x(44 + x) = 252

x^2 +44x + 252 = 0

The roots of this equation give you the value of one number, and the other can be found by plugging in for x in y = 252 / x.

Let x and y be the numbers. x+y=-44, xy=252; from the latter, y=252/x. Put this into the first, gettin x+252/x = -44; mult by x to get x^2+44x+252=0. From the quadratic equation, the numbers are -6.768 and -37.232. The numbers are also expressed as -22+2√58 and -22-2√58. Add together you get -22-22=-44; multiply them and get 22^2-4*58, 484-232=252.

I dont know but the answer would probably be between 37.2+6.8=40 and 37.15+6.85=40...so im guessing one number would be 37point something and the second numer would be 6point something...i cant figure it out..when i mulitiplied the first one i got 252.9 and the second one i multiplied and got 254 so it would be between that im assuming
