They bring Michael J Fox and others in for the pity vote because their message was weak.
We need a CHANGE - okay - to what?

For the same reason Republicans use sex and violence (and the people that might personify those ideas) in their message to get votes. It excites voters and gives them a reason to rally.
Republicans like to rally around the idea that the world can be a better place with more guns and threats.
Dems like to rally around the idea that the world can be a better place with more talking and listening.
I myself like former leaders like Lincoln, T. Roosevelt, FDR, and Eisenhower who understood the purpose of both world visions and did not belittle either point of view.

I actually help disabled people, but not out of pity.
But because they Are people, regardless of who they vote for.
Why did the Republicans take advantage of the Evangelists?!

I agree with you and I think as good republicans we should just sweep all those disabled people under the closest carpet we can find!!!
Of course, in your case, the maid would do the sweeping for you. We don't want you to be a stooping down and throwing out that bad back of yours.

They use this method to get a chockhold on the pity vote!!! Little old ladies and the likes!!!! It is an old trick but '08 will prove them wrong .........again!!!!
