We never get too old to learn. The adults in your life have taught you the most important things in your life. To walk--to talk--to communicate, and the list goes on. Do you feel like you know everything you need to know to go out into the world and function and make a living for yourself?? I don't think so. The teacher is one of the adults in your life to assist you in this learning. So, please, take advantage of her assistance, and listen. Good luck :)

Because it is etiquette. The teacher is there to "teach" you stuff that you might not know. Even if you know it already, he or she will probably broaden your view of it a little, and the way to pass the class and exams, get good grades on HW, is by listening to what she says, so you have an idea of what you need to do.

What do you plan to do with your life?
You are either going to work FOR someone else, in which case you will need to listen to your boss.
Or you will BE a boss and have others working for you. Then you will need to listen to their complaints.
If you do nothing, you still need to listen to how to apply for welfare or other benefits.
If you plan on having a relationship or kids, you need to listen to them, so teachers are just people to practice listening to to better your listening skills for the future. Maybe, just maybe you will learn something!

If you do not listen, you will not understand. If you do not understand, you will not learn. Pay attention to your elders, grasshopper. They can teach you even when they do not intend to do so, if only you are eager to learn.

Are you serious? Isn't the reason you are there in the first place to learn something?
