Did anyone catch Lightning Mcqueen calling Radiator Springs "Hillbilly Hell"? Kinda odd for the word "hell" to be said in a Disney, rated G movie.....I mean, it's not the harshest of curse words, but some kids might use it and be considered saying a bad word......what are your thoughts about that?

no i did not catch that. good listening skills though. but hell is not a cuss word. hell is just a rude and inapportiate word to say. but i agree with u that some kids might use it and be considered saying a bad word. and that it is kinda odd for the word "hell" to be said in a Disney, rated G movie. but that is my opinion. to my concern adults just just cuss words in front of minors all sorts of ages! but one more thing i think the movie should still be rated g i mean they only say hell one time. i've asked everybody around me now that have seen the movie and they never heard hell in that movie.

If I'm not mistaken, the rating on this film was PG. Parental Guidance is exactly what a child needs while viewing any movie or show that may contain questionable language. The right explaination will defuse any urge to go out and use unwanted language in a child. Children are like sponges and will take in and use any information. But they are also always looking to thier parents for this information so.. Parents, set good examples!

Being that the movie was rated G I am sure that "hell" was in it and that is only what you heard when it was actually a similar word.

Hell is a place, not a curse word, at least in the movie it was.

I dont know, really young kids to pay attention to that sort of stuff thats why some crude humor is in some G and PG movies, but it was a good movie, loved it.

Not any more different than the exchange:

"Doc Hudson has three Piston Cups?"

"He did what to his cups?"

Or at the end, with the lost cars.

"Jesus Chrysler! Ask for directions!"

I am sure a lot of this slid right by

Depends on how it's used.

For example saying "Oh hell" may be offensive whereas "Green Hell" in reference to Vietnam would not be.
