Fabio cannavaro he is always focused, dedicated, hard working and a good leader to the italian team. During the world cup he proformed outstanding football and never backed away from a challange, he was always up there to when italy was takin a corner and having a go. He should of won the golden boot 4 world cup. He has worked hard to make a name for himself and is the worlds best defender at the moment, ever time i have watched italy play cannavaro gives it his all and most of the time suceeds. I have never seen him have an off day, he is an example of wat a soccer player should b like. Shows wat italian players r capable of, our skills n y we r world championes n 1 of the most suceessful footballin nations. You would never no his 33 yrs old by his fitness n his consistantancy in every game

Paolo rossi i would probably say a defender named Franco Baresi, i would rank him as the best defender to live. But also Paolo Maldini, best left back to live and still going strong. Squillaci was great and Dino Zoff arguably the best goalkeeper ever. Italy is on of the strongest nations for all round players.
My personal favorite is Maldini and Alessando Nesta ( the ultimate marker)

Materazzi. I don't know what he said to Zidane but i really enjoyed him looking like a fool at his last game with the national team which was so important too.
