I usually don't really know anyone here though I do recognize peoples "names". I pick a best answer for the content and, like you said, because I got more educated. I totally ignore the smart aleck ones most of the time unless they are really funny (NOT raunchy) but usually give them a thumbs up instead of a best answer. I guess what I am trying to say is, I like it when people are trying to be sincere! Good question by the way!

Tough one there, Tammy. I have only asked one question, it's still open, and my dearest friend on here answered it (among many others). And she gave a good answer. But I think I'm gonna read all of them I can before I pick a best. Chances are, since she's street-smart and educated, her answer will be among the best, if not THE best. I hope I'll go for education and not friendship, though.

I pick based on how well someone answered it and how true I feel their statements are, I guess you could say the answers I pick have indeed educated me in a way. However, when I'm fooling around I tend to pick based on how funny the person is, which is usually someone I'm familiar with. Good question.

No I don't pick my friends I just go with the one that I like the best or sometimes if I get many answers and my questions is a yes or no type question I go with the 1st one that answered just to be fair...in a way. It's hard to pick em

I pick a best answer because of the answer. I don't care who you are, if it's the answer I 'm looking for, you get 10 points.

Well, seeing as that I've never asked a question, it would be logical to me to pick the person who really DID have the best answer, not just your friend. That would be stupid to pick a "best answer" just because you somehow know the person or are "online friends" with them.

I pick the answer that educated me most. But if I ask a silly question, I'd pick the funniest answer.

I pick the answer I like the best. I generally don't know anybody here on Yahoo and it's not fair to be biased to someone's answer because they're your "friend", I don't think.

Educated. Just because it is your friend doesn't mean you should chose their answer. It might not be the answer that you were looking for. So chose the one that answers your question the best
