Did you check to see if the switch is on. Check the light by turning the knob for the lights. It should be located on the left hand side of the steering wheel.

Is the Panel light dimmer control turned until it CLICKS which turns the interior lights on ? That would make the interior lights stay on whether the doors are open or Not !
The other possibility is a bad door switch. Any door switch other then the drivers door, will NOT make the chime sound off which you are referring to as the "signal" thingy !

Slow windows are a sign of a dry regulator and probably needs a good lubing but you will need to remove the door panel to do so .

Check the door jamb switches. If they a stuck or worn out( most likley they are) it will keep you light on. As for the windows look for dirty connection, loose conections, poor ground , or tired motor. Is you battery in good shape? Have fun day
