it should have come with i tunes software if you don't have it you can download it free at the apple website. but you just hook up you ipod with the usb cable and go into i tunes and add the music files from your computer to i tunes (you will find it under file) and then you highlight the song in your library and drag it over to the menu on the left where is says whatever the name of your ipod is and that puts them on there. if you ever need to delete songs just hook it up got into your ipod and you songs will all be listed and you just highlight it and press delete.

You plug it into the comp and then drag the music 4rom ur library onto the ipod icon. (you have 2 have itunes and a usb cord)

With I tunes you have to first put the Ipod disc that came with your ipod download it, and then a window will pop up.

itunes is not that flexible as a music uploader to your mp3. try anapod explorer. it works like a regular window explorer window using drag & drop.

just download mp3's using limewire or whatsoever programs you like to use and use itunes to open all the mp3's and then just connect your ipod to your pc...then you just drag and drop mp3's using itunes...
