Hi

There are two reasons for stains to come back.
1. If the stain comes back when it dries normally one day then it is a PH problem and you can try using vinegar (one part vinegar to five parts water).

2 If it comes back in one or two weeks then it is a sticky reside from the shampoo it should be extracted using water and a wet vac to remove the sticky reside do not use any more soap on it. It may take two or three tries to remove it. Please DO NOT put anything on the carpet that was not made for carpet

Washing Detergent contains fat (like you get left in your washing machine) This is why the stain returns. Make a mix of proper carpet shampoo and 25 % Ammonia, hand scrub, then rinse out using a vet vaccum cleaner.

It's because I'm sure you know the soap has been left in. You need to use water and a wetvac.
