depending on how much you get paid, you might be eligible for cash aid and or food stamps through social services agency. i am also a single parent. i work part time 21 hours per week. but i get paid for 28 hours. they closed my case and i am unable to receive government help anymore, b/c i get paid too much. for 2 people (my daughter and i) you can't make over 1430 a month. i make 1456 per month. they make no exceptiongs even thought it's only $26 more.

Used to work in hr...but it was a little while ago - so here's what i can remember....your benefit entitlement is going to vary depending on what state you're in. There are some states that are more "pro employee" and some that aren't. In CA, in order to be considered full time, you have to work at least 30 or 35 (don't remember which one) per week. If you don't so, the company is not required to give you any benefits.... might want to check your state website and look up your facts there....good luck!
It's really going to depend on what state you're in.

Zero.
It depends upon the state. In Texas, you must work a minimum of either 30 or 32 hours to be eligible for benefits, provided your employer offers it.
Check with your state employment commission.
