ilurb is correct, alternatively you could multiply both side by 2 to clear the fraction

2y - 10 = x + 4

2y = x + 14

y = (1/2)x + 7

either way you get the same answer.

Ok, If you're asking how to put this into slope-intercept from FROM point slope form, all you'd have to do is:

first distribute the fraction through:
y-5=1/2x + 2

Then try to get the y by itself by adding 5 to both sides:
y-5=1/2x+2
+5 +5

y=1/2x + 7

y-5 = (1/2)(x+4)

y = (1/2)x + 7

I would first get rid of the fraction:
2(y - 5) = 2(1/2)(x + 4)
2y - 10 = x + 4
2y = x + 14
to get back to slope-intercept form:
y = (1/2)x + 7

the equation of a line is y=mx+c
m is slope and c is the constant value.
y-5=1/2(x+4)
solve the equation by multiplying both sides of the equation by the denominator,which is 2
2(y-5)=x+4
2y-10=x+4
2y=x+4+10
2y/2=(x+14)/2
y=1/2x+7
y=mx+c
therefore m (slope)=1/2
