The Atlanta Hawks started off this NBA season on fire, but recently haven't been doing so well. Do you think the Hawks are a contender in the weak Eastern Conference. Also, where would you rate Joe Johnson on the list of the best NBA players?

If they keep this up, they do have a chance of making it to the playoffs, but not as deep as the 6th seed. Pachulia and Johnson have been having excellent starts, and Claxton should follow as well.
Joe Johnson? He's certainly on my AllStar list this year, but in my list he should be in the top 15 or 20, since Atlanta has been doing fine and his 29 PPG looks great.
Anyway, Im from Georgia, but dont think of this as bias or some sort. Im in the South part but I will watch a Hawks game sometime in December.

I think the Hawks will make the play-offs but only to the 2nd round if they get lucky. No, they can't contend in the Eastern conference because there are the Cavs, the Pistons, the Pistons, the Sixers, and other teams. I would rate Joe Johnson in the Late 20's of the topt NBA players. Possibly 30's

They aren't going to make the playoffs this year for sure. But maybe next year if they can get better personnel.

no they are not. to continue this way of thinking, the suns and mavs wont make the playoffs. id put JJ in my top 25, maybe 20. but anything higher i could find better.

with their sad loss to the bucks and an ok team i would say no joe j going down hill fast

Lose their best players to injuries......
And be one of the worst teams again.
