Can I choose a Cheeseburger instead?

Metamorphasis. It's the lesser of three evils. I don't think I really want to travel in time (thus see into the future and probably really horrible things), or a terribly high IQ (thus have loads of people expect enormous and impossible things from me) so that leaves metamorphasis.

Time Travel.
(I'll take a veggie burger instead, please)

Total control would be incredibly boring and useless
Metamorphasis would be somewhat frightening
IQ would be relatively pointless
So, time travel would work best for me as I love various historical periods and, if something were to go wrong, being stuck in one of those periods wouldn't be so bad as say, being stuck as a snail or something, had I chosen metamorphasis; for example.

Time travel--then I could go back and stop some of the bad things that have happened in life. but i don't think i could ever get it right (remember the movie the Butterfly Effect.) if i fixed one thing another thing would go wrong; i'd fix that and another thing would collapse; and so on and so on. I guess my theory is flawed. i'd rather have the power of metamorphasis--that would be cool.

as I read through answers, I see that only one person has hit my point:

If i were to have a power, it would be to have IQ, because using that IQ, one could create many things, such as a time machine, and maybe someday, develop something where stem cells can turn you into anything you want. Just a thought :)

now, if one were to have IQ without a notion of using it, or without any motivation, it would be pointless to have it.

Therefore, the real question would be:
if you had to choose between these three, would you choose:
motivation, perseverance, or luck?

that would be a hard one to choose from.

I'd go back in time and be rich like Biff Tannen. I'd invest in Yahoo, Google, Apple, Netscape and Microsoft when they started out. Then I'd use the money to get Hendrix to give me a private concert with the Doors, Elvis and the Sex Pistols.

I would have control over my IQ because then I'd be able to build a time machine with my over-abundant IQ.

Time travel - because I want to know what really was and how it is going to be. (unless we never figure out warp drive & we end up stuck on this 3rd rock from this sun.)

I would have to say IQ, then I would really know that the other two aren't possible. ;-)
