Edwards is the only candidate in 2004 that really seemed to have an idea about how Americans really live, and what they need. He was the only one who acknowledged we have poverty in America, and has continued to work since the election to make eradication of abject poverty his primary work.
In a little publicized poll a couple months back in Iowa, Iowa democrats picked Edwards as their choice for the candidate in 2008, over both Hillary Clinton and their own Governor. Would you support Edwards, a more moderate democrat, that really does have honest passion for helping Americans?

John Edwards is a great choice. Hillary will not run. Edwards could play the outsider wanting to make change. He also has no bad House or Senate record to use against him. I wonder if Democrats are that smart?

Yes I would support John Edwards. I really think he should have been the Presidential candidate in 2004 not Kerry.
John Edwards, or Barack Obama. Those two together on the ticket in '08 would be a force to be reckoned with. Either of them could restore some dignity, respect, and class to the title of the presidency of the USA. One of them for President the other for Vice President. Either one on top and the other second in line would be satisfactory to me.

No, John Edwards was a trial lawyer before running for office. He is the classic ambulance chaser and it's men like him that have helped to escalate the cost of health care! Guys like him go for outrageous settlements and take over 40%! How does that HELP his clients? Taking over 40 percent of an injury claim!

He's just a bunch of talk. Did you know that he has been reported as being severely late on paying his property taxes? So he's got enough money to have a vice-presidential campaign but can't seem to pay his property taxes on time?

I live in NC where Edwards is from and I can't stand him. Never could.

scout485 - although you like John Edwards, I would not support him. He is too close to the network of failed democrats and until they come up with a new group entirely separate from the past scuzz and scum, I seem to keep having problems with them. We has the Clintons, the Gores, and the Kerrys; and long term, the Kennedys. Probably the most despicable democrats in recorded history. I did like Obama until he became Oprah's bought and paid for lackey.I, like most, want and need someone entirely new. Last time we tried this, we got the Carters and that was a joke, but; this time, we have to do better. But, like Mrs Ragan said, when it comes to John Edwards, I just say no.

He's a bright, young politican with good morals and great personality. But the question is would I support him? If he was elected yes. Whomever is elected to become President deserves nothing, but respect. If you haven't noticed I'm talking to the Bush haters out there. I will vote for the man(sorry Hillary) who has the best ideas with realistic results.

I think he'd be an excellent VP for Joe Biden (my personal favorite).
Although I'm predicting Edwards will beat Hillary in the primaries, and then ask her to run as his VP. So we might have an Edwards-Clinton ticket come '08.

I Disagree because of the fact John Edwards is an fool, he does not comprehend what's rather happening in the midsection East. he's only spreading propaganda around, he's in effortless terms a some distance-left puppet!

Maybe. Edwards is not on the 'do not nominate' list. Hillary is simply because she in unelectable.
