I say no, theres at least 8 or 10 better goal scorers out there:
Kovalchuk, Ovechkin, Staal, Heatley

No chance, Kovy is leading at the moment for obvisous reasons, he was nipping at Cheecho's heels last season too. Cheecho is not much by himself.

Who cares? It's over and done with. I'm happy he got the Maurice Rocket Richard trophy. Of course the press, the critics and hockey fans such as yourself will forever ask the question "what if". Cheechoo and Thornton "clicked". I'm just glad that Thornton wasn't a puck-hog and looking for the spotlight on himself. He is an awesome hockey player. There are so many racist people in the world that are pissed that Cheechoo won that award last season. There are lots of good goal scorers in the NHL - but "better"? They need to prove it. If they have Thornton on their team (or someone as good as him) then wouldn't it have been one of those guys who won the award last year? I'm just glad the same 'ol, same 'ol guys didn't win it AGAIN...like Jagr!

No doubt without thornton cheechoo was nothing. Just look at how he did before thornton came, you rarely heard his name ever. When thornton shows up it's like he's on top of the world. But I also think they compliment each others skills. Thornton's a passer, cheechoo's a shooter.

no because thorton was the ream play maker which setup the goals cheecho scored and if joe wasnt there then cheecho could have scored about half as much

No, if it isn't for Thornton's nice passes, he probably wouldn't even get half the goals he gets let alone get nominated for the All-Star Team.

No, he wouldn't have been in the top 20.
He can thank ThorNton for the best year he'll ever have.
