With most women working as much as men, why are the bathroom cleaning, oven cleaning, dish washing, baby wiping, dusting and vacuuming commercials always feature women as the consumer? Billy Mays and Dyson don't count because they are only demonstrating. Am I the only one who notices this???

They are appealing to the 52% majority of divorced women who have gotten rid of those no good bastards! The ones I really hate are the food commercials that show a nuclear family with just 2 kids and a mom. They are the standard by the way.

There are some male liberationists out there that notice.
As a male I find it condescending that they always show a man making and *** out of himself in the kitchen or is lazy and does not clean anything in the house. The problem is most men don't worry about the media one way or the other.
Most of the men I know, do know how to cook, clean, take care of children, as well as do repairs around the house.
The media likes to reflect what they think a household should look like and that is usually something from twenty years ago, they don't have a clue.

Because studies have shown that women are still doing the majority of the house cleaning. In my home, both my husband and I have full time jobs. However, I do most all the cleaning, laundry, cooking, etc. He still takes care of the yard, cars, mechanical work. If we had kids, I would still be the one doing most of the work to care for them. So I guess we are still somewhat traditional, as are a lot of families.

this is a bias world, and mom's are known as the homemakers and dads are known as the moneymakers outside of the home. Man are usually portrayed as the masculine, and women as the feminine, although we know times have changed and things are much different than they were fourty years ago, but this is the image of great grandma and grandpa

Because that is what sells. They have to make people feel comfortable and unfortunately most people still perceive women as the cleaners.

For the exact same reason they always show men as idiot dolts in commercials. It's called stereotyping.

No, you are not the only one to notice. This peeves me off too. However, have you seen the JIF peanut butter commercials lately? They say, "Choosy moms, and grandpas, choose JIF" and "Choosy moms, and dads, choose JIF" I thought that was cool.
