When a print job is sent to the printer from the computer, the printer
will not respond if:

* The Pause Printing or Use Printer Offline options are enabled.
* The Windows print spooler shows the printer status as either
Paused, Offline, Pending or User Intervention Required.
* Wrong printer driver is being used.
* The printer cable is not connected to the printer or the computer.

NOTE: In many cases, there are no lights flashing on the printer
and no error messages appear on the screen.

Verify that the printer cable is connected directly from the computer
to the printer. If the printer cable is connected and the printer does
not respond, follow the instructions provided below to determine why
the printer is not responding.

Follow the instructions provided below to determine why the printer is
not responding.

=== The printer is Paused or Offline ===

1. Click Start, then Printers and Faxes.
2. Right-click the icon for your printer and select Open.
3. Select 'Printer' from the menu bar and verify that there is no
check mark next to 'Pause Printing'. If a check is present, click
the option to remove the check mark.
4. Select Printer from the menu bar and verify that the 'Use Printer
Offline' option is displayed. If there is a check mark, click the
option to enable online printing.
5. In the status window, if there are individual documents that show a
Paused status, select the document in the print queue. The
document will be highlighted.
6. Select Document in the menu bar.
7. If there is a check mark next to Pause Printing, select the Pause
Printing option to remove the check mark. If Pause Printing is
not checked, press the ESC key on the keyboard to leave the menu
without making any changes.

The spooled document(s) should start printing once the check marks have
been removed from the Pause Printing and Work Offline options.

=== The wrong printer driver or port is being used ===

If there is more than one printer configured for use on the system, the
desired printer may not be configured as the default Windows printer or
the wrong printer driver may have been configured for use with the
printer. Follow the steps given below to verify that the printer
driver is configured correctly.

To verify that the printer driver is set as default:

In the Printers and Faxes folder, right-click your printer icon, then
click the 'Set As Default Printer' option. The selected printer driver
should now be set as the default driver. (A small check mark will be
displayed in the printer icon.)

NOTE: If you wish to keep the existing printer as the default
printer, do not select 'Set As Default', press the ESC key
on your keyboard. When you are ready to print, the correct
printer must be selected from within the application that
is creating the print job. To do so,

a. In the application used for printing click File
b. Click Print.
c. From the drop down menu, select the correct printer.

To verify the settings in the Printer Properties:

1. In the Printers and Faxes folder, right-click the icon for your
printer and select Properties.
2. Select the Advanced tab.
3. Verify that the 'Driver' entry shows the correct driver name for
the printer. If not, select the correct printer driver from the
drop down menu.

NOTE: If the printer driver is not listed, the printer driver may
be corrupt or incorrectly installed. Reply to this
message.

4. Select the Ports tab.
5. Verify that there is a check mark in the box next to the correct
port. For example, if the printer is connected to the computer's
parallel port, the port setting for the printer driver should be
set to LPT1.
6. Click Apply, then click OK.
7. Close the Printers window, and try printing again.

there are a few things you can do
1-make sure the printer is turned on
2-make sure you installed the software, if you have re-install it
3-make sure that when you hit print, it is set to that printer.
4-check the companies website for more troubleshooting tips
