Bob is ok but so so common i personally like the name colt

Since Bob is short for Robert. How about Robert Colton.

Funny you should ask about Bob. My 8 year old daughter wants to name our baby Bob. Um...no. However we do refer to it as Bob, until we find out the sex. How do you call a kid Bob?!?! Practice that a while.
As for Colton...It's a cowboy name, I think. Not my favorite but I know a weird kid with that name, so it's turned me off of it. But I like it better than Bob.

Um yeah I guess Bob is a good name.My grandpa's name was Robert and he always went by Bob also I have an uncle named Bob and a cousin named Bobbie Jo. We plan to name our son Robert. Um as far as Colton it is an ok name except I went to school with a colton and he was an a ss and so when I hear that name that is what I think of.

Personally, they are both bad names. But between Bob and Colton? Bob is incredibly common and totally forgettable, but Colton will stand out--people will remember it among all the other names. It is a concrete statistic that people with unique names do much, much better in business (and basically everything else that involves talking to people) than people named Bob.
Also--don't listen to those whiners up on top of me there. Nobody makes insults out of anybody's name any more. Colton is elegant and cool, and Colton's classmates in middle school will respect him a lot more than they respect the guy named Bob. Nobody takes people named Bob seriously. They think they're funny, even without changing their name into anything else.

Bob is a diminutive form of Robert. I would prefer Robert and not Bob. Colton means Cole's town. Both names are kind of awkward. Look for names with significance.
